Los Angeles Sacred Arts Summer School

For two weeks, middle school and high school students are invited to develop their artistic skills in a Catholic environment through prayer and the study of sacred art within an academic art curriculum.

Each morning begins with prayer and a lesson in Sacred Art History. For the rest of the day, students focuses on building foundational skills in line drawing and tonal drawing. Students will understand the key concepts and basic rules of drawing in a step-by-step process. Daily exercises rely on drawing  from life using classic casts, sculpture, and examples of sacred art in the Iconographic and Gothic styles. 

Students must bring their own bag lunch and snacks. Water will be provided.
